New speech-to-text capability

TIP Update - May’23

At Trellis Data we’re very excited to announce the details of a pre-release update for our Trellis Intelligence Platform (TIP). This latest update includes new features that are the first of a range of new capabilities coming as part of a major TIP Version 3 release, currently slated for release in the coming months.

Recently, we have been focusing on our speech-to-text technology, in order to improve the accuracy and functionality of our models. These updates will be of special interest to our law enforcement and surveillance clients, already operating in Australia, Indonesia, and in Europe.

So, what’s new?

  • Extended integration compatibility: TIP is now even more flexible and able to integrate easily with other existing enterprise applications. New single-sign-on and record-keeping plugins enable our customers to quickly and seamlessly enhance their existing platforms with AI technology.

  • Novel speech-to-text transcription models: With leading accuracy for our customer use cases across law enforcement and courtroom settings, we deliver a minimum of 95% accurate English transcription. Trellis Data customers are also now equipped to tailor their transcription requirements, for example, in hard-to-hear and noisy environments.

  • Beyond transcription: We also offer capabilities that go beyond simple high-performing transcription. TIP includes keyword searching, outputting results to custom templates, punctuation, speaker identification, and translation.

  • Enhanced audio processing: These updates improve the accuracy and clarity of transcriptions generated by TIP. These enhanced transcriptions will be particularly beneficial for customers who work in multilingual environments, such as Mandarin, Indonesian, Spanish, and Arabic.

  • Flexible audio input: TIP can now handle a variety of file types, as well as streaming and live recordings, both in unicast and multicast environments.

This pre-release is the result of a lot of hard work from the team and represents another exciting step forward for TIP. We have been listening closely to our customers and this update forms a key part of our ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of our customers,  particularly those in law enforcement and courtroom settings.
